The PGA EuroPro Tour is delighted to announce that Ablrate.com will title sponsor the Ablrate.com Rookie of the Year 2019.
All competing rookie players on the tour will battle it out for a prize pot £1,000 over the course of the season with the overall winner being crowned at Tour Championships, Desert Springs Resort at the end of October.
“The pros on this tour are essentially startups in the golf world and many of the same things that we did apply. You need to work hard, sacrifice lots and sell yourself, but you also need to have backers.” – David Bradley-Ward, CEO of Ablrate

Midway through the season, Todd Clements is leading the Ablrate.com Rookie of the Year Order of Merit in a run that included winning at both Brocket Hall Golf Club and Macdonald Hill Valley.
Ablrate has become a long term supporter of the tour and David Bradley-Ward, CEO of Ablrate, said, “What is great, however, is having a small hand in helping to launch the careers of young golfers. We have met many of the lads on the Tour and have sponsored Luke Donnelly directly, and they are a great bunch trying hard to make it on the golfing circuit.”
“The Ablrate.com Rookie of the Year is another commitment to that goal to boost the very newest of the pros on the PGA EuroPro Tour. We are excited for this new phase for the Ablrate/PGA Europro sponsorship.”
He added: “I was watching the tour on Sky and it is odd to see the Ablrate logo on TV. It reminded me that we were a plucky startup ourselves 5 years ago, with two of us in an office and an idea (some would say ‘no idea’). We were lucky enough to attract people to back us and we have made a success of the business.”
“The pros on this tour are essentially startups in the golf world and many of the same things that we did apply. You need to work hard, sacrifice lots and sell yourself, but you also need to have backers. The PGA EuroPro Tour does a great job of that and we are pleased to be involved.”

PGA EuroPro Tour CEO, Daniel Godding added, “I’m delighted to have Ablrate title sponsor the Ablrate.com Rookie of the Year. They understand more than most the importance of having backers in their infancy of business in a much similar vein to our golfers as David mentioned so this partnership makes total sense. I cannot wait to see who comes out on top.”
