Batibasaga holds lead at Motocaddy Masters

April 26th, 2012

Australian Rika Batibasaga (Indoorpilly Golf Club) leads the way heading into the final round of the Motocaddy Masters after carding a first round of 69 at Wensum Valley.

Heavy rain had caused a near four-hour delay on Wednesday afternoon and when play then had to be abandoned early the opening tournament of the 2012 PGA EuroPro Tour was reduced from 54 holes to a 36-hole tournament.

Round One was completed on Thursday and Batibasaga, who eagled the par-five 18th, holds a one-shot lead ahead of the final round. Jason Timmis (Wychwood Park Golf Club) is in second with Dan Seymour (Newbury Golf Club) and Will Roebuck (Shirley Parsons Associates) tied for third on one under.

The cut was made at three over and 57 players will participate in the final round, which will commence at 8am on Friday (April 27) with a two-tee start.

Just six shots separate those who made the cut, leaving the Motocaddy Masters wide open and set for a thrilling final day on the Wensum Course.

Live scoring will be available on this website with regular updates posted on the Tour’s official Twitter page []@PGAEuroProTour[/url].
