Bowden off to a great start in Devon

June 18th, 2008

Gregory Bowden made a great start to the second round of the Bovey Castle Championship.

Bowden (Hermitage GC) led the tournament overnight after his opening round 67 and birdied the first hole after teeing off at 12.40pm to move to four under through the first three on his second round.

Graeme Brown (Golf Fit Ltd/Dalmahoy) recorded two double bogeys in his round of 70, keeping him at two under par for the tournament going into the final day, still rueing three dropped shots on the last three holes in his opening round.

Northern Irishman Damian Mooney (pictured) continues his good form on the Tour, with four consecutive birdies on the back nine contributing to his 67 – he sits one under ahead of tomorrow’s final round.
