Paul Maddy’s four shot lead in the Motocaddy Masters at The Players Club, has been reduced to one with the chasing pack gaining ground and the leader dropping two shots early in the final round.
Maddy has had a rocky opening to the last leg of his pursuit of his first EuroPro Tour title, with bogeys at the first two holes followed by a birdie-bogey run to the fourth to leave him two over after four holes and six under for the tournament.
That his four shot lead he held is also down to the fine starts of Ben Jones and Adam Frayne – playing together and both two under for the day and five under for the tournament. Martin Sell and Paul Dwyer are one shot further back at four under.
