EuroPro Stars Succeed At Q School

November 19th, 2015

gavins daniel 01Congratulations to 2015 PGA EuroPro Tour members Daniel Gavins and Laurie Canter on earning European Tour playing rights through Q School.

Gavins and Canter will be joined on Europe’s elite tour by 2014 graduate James Robinson and 2011 Order of Merit winner Chris Hanson after they also finished in the top 25 at the Final Stage of European Tour Qualifying School in Spain.

Gary King, Paul Shields, Darryn Lloyd and Paul Howard all earned Challenge Tour playing rights having made the 72-hole cut at PGA Catalunya Resort.

Their success mean that each of the top eight players on this season’s Order of Merit will progress to play on either the European or Challenge Tours in 2016.

Daniel Godding, Director of Operations at the PGA EuroPro Tour, commented: “I am delighted to see so many EuroPro Tour players do well at Q School.

“It is testament to their hard work that they have earned playing rights on the European and Challenge Tours for next season, and it also shows the EuroPro is succeeding in preparing these players to progress to the next level.

“Daniel and Gary were so unlucky to miss out at our Tour Championship and both have been excellent this season, so I am thrilled to see them get their rewards at Q School. Laurie has been one of the standout golfers this season and I am also very pleased to see him earn a European Tour card and cannot wait to see him and Daniel competing alongside the world’s best next season, alongside James and Chris.”
