EuroPro Tour Heads To Whitekirk

EuroPro Tour Heads To Whitekirk

March 12th, 2008

ENTRIES have now closed for the second event of the PGA EuroPro Tour season, The Kronenbourg Classic at Whitekirk from 11-13 May.

Following the success of the opening event at Wensum Valley last week, and the drama of Andrew Marshall’s final-hole triumph, the PGA EuroPro Tour heads north of the border for the latest tournament.

Ross Fisher, the first round leader on his debut at The Classic, will hope to continue his rapid progress at the North Berwick course.

Home professional Paul Wardell will also be among the 156-man field for the tournament, which has a £40,000 prize fund.

David Close (pictured) was victorious in last year’s visit to Whitekirk for the Sky Sports East Lothian Masters, finishing a shot ahead of David Fisher.

Last year’s event was also remembered for the remarkable feats of Rick Valentine and Kevin Earp, who both hit a hole-in-one at the par-four second.
