September 16th, 2008

The Ivobank PGA EuroPro Tour is well represented in the second stage of the European Tour Qualifying School after the first stage finished at the weekend.

Over 25 players who have appeared on the Tour this year made it through to the second stage, which began on three courses today – Golf de Moilets in France, Circolo Golf Bogogno in Italy and The Oxfordshire.

Daniel Gaunt (Selsdon Park, pictured) finished third at Dundonald Links in Ayrshire in the first stage, ahead of Daniel Wardrop, David Shacklady, Justin Kehoe, Steven Capper, Daniel Sugrue, Mark Staunton, Sean Doherty, Christopher Crowder, Jason Kelly and Mark Kerr.

Chart Hills in Kent also hosted the first stage where Paul Maddy finished in second spot at 19 under par. Mark Laskey, Guy Woodman, Jamie Moul, Kevin Harper, Matthew Ford, Chris Gaunt, Chris Gill, Jamie Harris, Peter Appleyard, Rob Harris, Graham Gordon, Tom Haylock and Alistair Presnell. The third venue was Fleesensee Golf and Country Club in Germany where John Parry and Ian Keenan made it through – click here to look at the full results.

They join a whole host of EuroPro Tour players in the second stage which finishes on Friday – we will update the site with the progress of those players from the EuroPro Tour.
