Neil Fenwick posted a second round of 69 (-3) to hold a one-shot lead in The Nokia Masters heading into the final day at Mannings Heath Golf & Wine Estate tomorrow. (Saturday, 10, August)
Fenwick (Dunbar Golf Club) got off to a tricky start one over through his front nine before turning it around on the back with a bogey-free finish and four birdies.
Trailing one shot back is James Ross (Royal Burgess Golf Club) who carded the joint best round of the day for 65 (-7) with eight birdies to his name.
Calum Fyfe (Golfing4Life) makes it quite the Scottish affair at the top tied for third on ten under with George Mullins (Langley Park / Lewis Access), Bradley Bawden (a) (Rochford Hundred Golf Club) and Daniel Young (Kingsbarns Pro Academy).
Ryan Campbell (Falkirk Golf Club) posted a second-day score of 69 (-3) to be tied for seventh with Jack Davidson (Llanwern Golf Club), Lloyd Saltman (Renaissance Club) and James Frazer (Machynys Peninsula) who posted rounds of 66, 65 and 66 respectively.
The cut was made at -3 with fifty players and ties making the final day of action. A knock of four under for Joe Brice (SRL Limited) moved him above the cut line whilst Hugo Dobson (Woodbridge Golf Club) went three-under to also make it.
Tomorrow is the final day of The Nokia Masters at Mannings Heath Golf & Wine Estate with conditions expected to be tough. Forecasts are predicting gusts of 40mph upwards throughout the day.
