NOEL FOX won the Sky Sports Qualifying School at the Wynyard Club in Cleveland after finishing with a five-under-par 67 to end the event at -7.
Fox, who had carded two-under-par for his opening round in Cleveland, edged out Neil Price and Bobby Young, who also shot 67 on day two.
A total of 60 players made the cut of +4, with a further five playing off for the three reserve places on offer for Stage Two at Bedford and Pavenham next week.
At Frilford Heath, 62 members of the 125-man field will complete their second round on Friday morning.
Jonathan Barnes is the current pace-setter, sitting at -5 after his two rounds.
On the opening day at Stoke-by-Nayland, four players are tied on -3 after a round of 69, including former Walker Cup player Graham Gordon and Grant Willman, who hit an eagle on the par-four 16th.
Amateur Luke Goddard was among a group of players a further shot back going into Friday’s final round.
