Harleyford to begin 2021 season on May, 26

March 16th, 2021

The PGA EuroPro Tour can confirm that the 2021 season will now begin with The IFX Championship at Harleyford Golf Club from May, 26, to May 28, seeing the original first tournament of the season at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf and Spa pushed back to August, 11 – August 13.

The decision has been taken to push the season start date back two weeks to ensure the best possible experience for members of the tour, staff, guests, and spectators fitting in line with the UK government’s roadmap out of lockdown for England.

We look forward to welcoming players to the home of PGA EuroPro Tour alumni Tyrrell Hatton,  Harleyford Golf Club for The IFX Championship from May 26 to May 28.

The 2021 schedule will prove to be one of the most exciting to date with an increased prize fund of over £900,000 (€1-million) and five Challenge Tour cards on offer.

First place for an event has now increased to £12,500 per tournament with the winner at Tour Championships now receiving £25,000. To add to this, membership and entry fees have been frozen with the opportunity to take on former European Tour venues along with the drama people come to expect of the Tour.

The tour will travel the length and breadth of the UK encompassing some of the finest courses including a trip to the home of alumni Jonathan Caldwell at Clandeboye Golf Club in Northern Ireland and Castletown Golf Links on the Isle of Man where another tour graduate Tom Gandy resides.

Also NEW for 2021 is the introduction of Monday Qualifiers. Monday Qualifiers will give players a unique opportunity to secure a spot in main tournament fields by finishing in the top 5 of the 18-hole qualifier. The cost of entry will be £50 for Tour members and £75 for non-members, which will be subtracted from the £295 tournament entry fee if the player qualifies.

Entries are now open for all tournaments in the 2021 schedule with payment only taken for these at the tournament entry deadline and confirmation of entry to the event. The full schedule for the 2021 season can be found here along with the opportunity to enter.

Note – Players who competed at Q School 2021 in September/October 2020 DO NOT need to pay for membership as this was settled upon entering Q School

Existing entries into Luton Hoo have been transferred to the new date. Any member who cannot make the new date will be required to withdraw online via your players club account before the new closing date of 28th July. This is also the same procedure following the recent Castletown Golf Links date change to 15th – 17th September of which the closing date is 1st September.
