DARYL LEY has become the new owner of a Peugeot 206SW after winning the Peugeot Hole In One Shoot Out at the 2004 PGA EuroPro Tour Championship, the final event of the season.
All players who hit holes in one over the season qualified to play-off for the car, and with a 7-iron to within 15ft 11ins of the pin at the Mosa Trajectum course in Spain, Ley was the winner.
All six players had three shots each and although Steven Brotherhood led after the first round from a distance of 29ft 8ins, Ley halved that distance and none of the others could improve on it.
“I’ve had car problems this year – breaking down and having to get lifts off other players, so this is a great way to end the season, Ley said.
“I’m thrilled with my prize and look forward to collecting it when I get home. I won’t have to worry about things next season now and it’s a big bonus to end the season on.”
The competing players were: Rick Valentine (Loretto School), Barry Hume (Haggs Castle), Kevin Earp (Bury Golf Range), Steve Brotherhood (DEP International), Andrew Willey (Tiny Dogs Records / Nottingham City ) and Daryl Ley (Unattached).
