The PGA EuroPro Tour is delighted to announce it has extended its agreement with Sky Sports until 2017.
Commencing this season, the five-year deal ensures Europe’s leading developmental golf tour will continue to offer its players the opportunity to shine in front of the cameras of the market-leading network until 2017.
The agreement is an extension of an on-going relationship between the two organisations that sees two-hour highlights packages of every PGA EuroPro Tour event broadcast four times in high definition.
Matchroom Sport chairman Barry Hearn commented; “Our long-standing relationship with Sky Sports has been a vital ingredient in PGA EuroPro Tour story over the years and we are very excited to be continuing it into the future.
“Without doubt, Sky Sports have always been the pioneer in sports TV with production values and levels of creativity that leave the competition in their wake.â€
The PGA EuroPro Tour is taking its TV coverage to the next level this season with extra on-course cameras, specialist on-course commentary from former PGA Tour and European Tour star John E. Morgan and every programme delivered in glorious high definition for the first time.
Presentation duties will be shared between Sky Sports presenter & Golfing World host Tony Wrighton, Sky Sports News anchor Charlotte Jackson and familiar PGA EuroPro Tour face Spoony.
The programme will benefit from revamped graphics, new features and the introduction of FlightScope ball tracking technology and will be available to watch on demand in HD via YouTube one month after it’s airing on Sky Sports.
