Daniel Godding has joined the PGA EuroPro Tour as Director of Operations, replacing the outgoing Danny Nickless.
A former PGA professional golfer, Dan has first-hand experience of the game. Having worked under Jim Christine and Scott Patience at Worplesdon GC as a young professional, Dan has experience of not only the grass roots but competing in PGA events.
Dan joins the Tour having spent 12 years at Sky Sports and a brief spell at one of London’s largest media recruitment agencies.
On joining the Tour, Dan said: “It is a pleasure to join the PGA EuroPro Tour as Director of Operations. This is an exciting time for myself and for the Tour and one of my first goals is to make the 2013 season our best yet.
“I have already met with my team at Matchroom Sport, and with the PGA, and we have a number of exciting ideas to take the Tour forward.
“I am looking forward to attending Tour Championship next month and meeting some of our members. They are the most important part of the PGA EuroPro Tour and I hope to hear lots of opinions from them on the things they believe the Tour must prioritise.
“We are working hard on shaping the 2013 season and we expect to be able to announce the first venues to be added to the schedule before the end of the year.â€
Matchroom Sport Chairman Barry Hearn added: “We would like to thank Danny Nickless for his 11 years of service to the Tour and we wish him the very best for the future.
“In Daniel Godding we know we have the right man to take the Tour to the next level and I look forward to working with him on delivering an exciting future for the PGA EuroPro Tour.â€
Danny Nickless will remain with the PGA EuroPro Tour to oversee next month’s Tour Championship at Woburn.
