The former amateur world number one, who is attached to the Suffolk club, fired rounds of 71 and 67 over the Constable Course for a six under total.
England’s Shane Winstone emerged top of the qualifiers at The Players Club in Bristol after rounds of 69 and 71.
Moul and Winstone were two of more than 450 players battling for a spot at next week’s final qualifying school during four pre-qualifiers being concluded today.
Qualifiers were also being staged at Forest Pines where Simon Thornton (Royal County Down) topped the leaderboard at ten under par while Robert Perrett carded successive rounds of 67 to dominate at The Bedford Club.
