PGA EuroPro Tour ready for tee off

April 20th, 2012

The PGA EuroPro Tour gets underway with the Motocaddy Masters at Wensum Valley Hotel and Country Club on Wednesday.

The Wensum Course at the venue will once again play host to what has become the traditional season-opener on the EuroPro Tour, where Jamie Abbott won after a thrilling final day last year.

The course is a par 72 measuring 6900 yards and is a true test of a golfer’s ability, requiring both distance and accuracy from the players.

A number of holes have water hazards including the 16th, one of the feature holes on the course running parallel to the River Wensum.

Danny Nickless, Operations Manager of the PGA EuroPro Tour said: “We are delighted to be opening the season at Wensum Valley again this year.

“The Wensum Course always provides an excellent challenge for the players. We had a gripping end to the event there last year and we expect another exciting competition this time around.”

A field of 156 players will begin the 54-hole strokeplay event with a cut of the top 50 and ties being made after 36 holes. Live scoring will be available on this website with regular updates posted on our Twitter page, []@PGAEuroProTour[/url]
