The HotelPlanner.Com Championship in association with Médecins Sans Frontières is next up on the PGA EuroPro Tour calendar at Frilford Heath Golf Club home to former PGA EuroPro Tour player Eddie Pepperell.

Things heat up with The Nokia Masters at Mannings Heath Golf and Wine Estate only finishing on Saturday and the first day of play Tuesday at Frilford in the heart of Oxfordshire.

Frilford Heath has become synonymous with the Tour and played host to final qualifying Q School earlier this year where Robert Burlison and  Jamie Dick tied to win the title for 2019.

The Course

The newest of three courses at Frilford, the blue course designed by Simon Gidman, has a more modern, open look, with a number of water hazards threatening, notably on the early holes. It offers a stern test, with par five and par three holes, in particular, facing in all directions. Greens are more undulating than on the two older courses and offer a number of interesting and challenging flag positions.

 The Field

James Ross goes to Frilford Heath on the back of victory at The Nokia Masters last week whilst Race to Desert Springs leader Richard Mansell will not feature due to playing ISPS Handa World Invitational at Galgorm Castle Golf Club & Massereene Golf Club.

Several other familiar faces on the PGA EuroPro Tour will also be featuring in Northern Ireland at the European Challenge Tour event.

The Eagle Orchid Scottish Masters winner (Daniel Young) and The World Snooker Jessie May Championship winner (Mikael Lundberg are both in the field.

  • Calum Fyfe (Golfing4Life), finished T2 at Mannings Heath
  • Sam Forgan (Stowmarket Golf Club/ISEKI) finished T7 at Mannings Heath
  • Will Whiteoak (Shipley Golf Club) two top tens this season
  • Ryan Campbell (Falkirk Golf Club) four top tens and a second-place finish so far this season
  • Jamie Dick and Robert Burlison as mentioned earlier

Entry is free to watch at Frilford Heath Golf Club. Come and enjoy watching some of the rising stars of the game at no cost.

Highlights of The Championship will air on Sky Sports Golf on 27, August 2019 at 20:00.
