The PGA EuroPro Tour season gathers pace as it goes 45 miles south-west to Harleyford Golf Club after finishing up at Brocket Hall on Friday, 24 May 2019.
Harleyford will prove to be an exciting track for the players competing in The Matchroom Sport Championship with a strong field of 152 heading to the Marlow based golf club.
Billy Spooner won last time around with a score of -15 over the three days whilst James Scade, Brian Casey, John-Ross Galbraith, Miles Collins, Nick McCarthy, and Alex Lodge all coming close on -14 and -13 respectively.
It was Galbraith who did well at Brocket Hall last time out of those aforementioned so he will be looking to better his tied sixth-placed finish last week.
Set within parkland, Harleyford’s course sits right off the River Thames and nearby is Marlow’s bustling town centre. The history of the estate dates back to the 12th century and is designated as “an area of outstanding beauty”.
Last year’s Order of Merit winner Dave Coupland is part of the field that will also include Mark Young and Billy Spooner.
Todd Clements who won The IFX Payments Championship last time out will not feature but Andrew Wilson of Rockliffe Hall will be in the field after setting a new course record at Brocket Hall last week. Conor O’Neill and Richard Mansell who both went well at Brocket will also look to continue their early season form.
The Matchroom Sport Championship gets underway on Wednesday 29th May with it concluding on Friday 31st May. A full field is expected with 36 holes played before a cut is made to the leading 50 plus any ties that will then go on to the final round on Friday.
It’s free for spectators to go down and watch with live scoring available on our website once play gets underway.
Highlights of The Matchroom Sport Championship 2019 will air on Sky Sports Golf on 11, June 2019 at 20:00.
The Tour goes to Donnington Grove Golf Club for The World Snooker Championship next week for the third event of the season.
