Sky Bet issue PGA EuroPro Tour Order of Merit betting

June 5th, 2009

After two events on the 2009 PGA EuroPro Tour, official bookmakers Sky Bet have opened a market on who will top the Order of Merit, with Steve Surry the 10/3 favourite. Surry won the opening event of the Tour at Collingtree Park in Northampton and leads the way after claiming a share of fourth spot at the Green17 Faithlegg Championship in Ireland. Sky Bet’s John Rhodes said: “Sky Bet have gone to new ground again on the EuroPro Tour by offering the Order of Merit betting for the 2009 season. Collingtree Park winner Steve Surry is a very strong fancy to top the pack and is the 10/3 favourite to take the top ranked card to the Challenge Tour next season. Big hitting Elliot Saltman (joint runner-up at Collingtree) is the 8/1 second favourite and Faithlegg winner Jack Doherty is a 9/1 shot to take top spot. The Order of Merit race I’m sure will go down to the wire this year, with a host of quality golfers all vying for those top five cards at the end of the year.” Click here to bet on the EuroPro Tour order of merit winner with Sky Bet. The third event on the on the 2009 PGA EuroPro Tour is the European Championship at Prince’s Golf Club in Kent, starting on June 9.
