PGA EuroPro tour Order of Merit leader Steve Surry continued his fine year with a fourth place finish in the SWALEC Wales Challenge at the Vale Hotel Golf and Spa Resort in Cardiff this weekend.
Surry (Cumberwell Park – pictured) lead at the cut at two under after back-to-back rounds of 71, before recording two 73s on Saturday and Sunday to finish in a three-way tie for fourth spot taking home €7,500.
The EuroPro pace setter was joined in fourth spot by Matthew Cort who played on the Tour for five years, finishing in second spot in the 2007 Tour Championships. Rhys Davies – who appeared on the Tour in 2007 – won the tournament in a play-off against James Morrison, who played eight events in 2007.
