Sweetspot announced as Longhirst Hall sponsor

The PGA EuroPro Tour is delighted to welcome Sweetspot as title sponsors of this year’s event at Longhirst Hall; the Sweetspot Classic.

As the penultimate main-season event the tournament promises to be one of the most fascinating of the summer, with golfers battling for a place at the Tour Championship and fighting it out to conclude the 2012 campaign in the top five on the Order of Merit, an achievement which is rewarded with a card on the 2013 Challenge Tour.

Sweetspot provide nutritious, energy-boosting products developed specifically for golfers, helping players maintain focus and stamina while battling fatigue throughout their round.

Rob Mullen, Managing Director of Sweetspot explained: “Golf is changing; it is moving towards becoming an athletic sport, borne out by its inclusion in the 2016 Olympics. The Sweetspot Classic is a 54-hole strokeplay event. A field of 168 players will play 18 holes on both Thursday August 30 and Friday, August 31. There will then be a cut to the leading 50 players and ties who will play a final 18 holes on Saturday, September 1.

Spectator entry will free throughout the event and live scoring will be available on this website.
