PGA EuroPro Tour regular Jamie Elson is in great shape after three rounds of final qualifying for 2010 European Tour at the PGA Golf Cataluyna Resort in Spain.
Elson (pictured) has featured heavily over the last three years on the Tour and is in third spot at 13 under after the opening three rounds of competition in Girona, where the top 30 plus ties will progress onto next year’s main Tour.
Other EuroPro Tour men in the hunt include Michel Bothma who appeared on the Tour from 2002-2007 and is tied for seventh and Lee Slattery, third in the 2004 Order of Merit, is in 22nd place.
The top 70 plus ties after the first four rounds will play two final rounds to determine the top 30 so 2008 graduate Lloyd Kennedy will be hopeful of being in the final shake-up after going into the fourth round in a tie for 47th spot. Other players with links to the EuroPro Tour in action include Paul Dwyer, Chris Gaunt, Andrew Marshall, Colm Moriarty, Jamie Moul, Andrew Oldcorn, Simon Thornton and Steven Tiley.
